An adventurous week exploring the wild highlights of Sardinia. With strenuous day treks (up to 1000m vertical ascent per day), sections of abseiling and rock climbing (up to grade IV+) and wild camping this trip gives you the chance to explore the spectacular scenery of Sardinia's wilderness. .
You will be accompanied by a UIAGM qualified mountain guide and will be expected to have the fitness to participate in the daytime activities, along with being prepared for the wild camping elements of the trip. Experience abseiling and some rock climbing is essential, and it's also useful if you have wild camped before. There is no luggage support on this trip so you will be expected to carry your own kit, as well as some of the group kit, so your pack could weigh 10-15 kg.
This is a tough but rewarding trip.
Day 1: Arrive at Olbia airport - transfer to Cala Gonone bungalow accommodation. Evening briefing with your guide.
Day 2: Training day - practicing rope skills in a remote canyon in the Supramonte di Baunei. Night in bungalow
Day 3: Transfer to Pedra Longa - trek to Porta Pedrosa (12km, 1200m ascent and descent). Wild camp on rocky beach at Porta Pedrosa. Additional supplies will arrive by boat.
Day 4: Hike to tented camp on Supremonte Plateau - the footpath includes some sections on climbing ladders.
Day 5: Trek from Punta Selenas to Bacu su Felieu (7.4km, 1160m ascent and descent) - this will involve sections of climbing and abseiling. Wild camp
Day 6: Trek from Bacu su Felieu to Cala Sisine. Wild camp
Day 7: Trek Cala Sisine to Cala Luna followed by transfer by boat to Cala Gonone. Night in hotel.
Day 8: Departure day - timed transfer to Olbia airport.
